Lipase
Description
Lipase is derived from Aspergillus niger through a sophisticated process of fermentation, extraction, and refinement. This highly versatile enzyme is expertly compounded for utilization across diverse industries, including food processing, leather treatment, animal feed, papermaking, detergents, and bio-energy sectors.
Working Mechanism
Lipase is a remarkable serine hydrolase, proficient in catalyzing the hydrolysis of fatty acid glycerides to yield glycerol and fatty acids. A defining trait of this reaction is its occurrence at the oil-water interface. Beyond hydrolysis, the enzyme adeptly catalyzes ester synthesis and transesterification reactions, showcasing its multifunctional capabilities.
Properties
1. Temperature range: This enzyme operates effectively between 30-70ºC,
with an optimal temperature range of 55-65ºC for peak performance.
2. pH range: Shows remarkable activity across a pH range of 4.0-10.0,
with an optimal pH environment being 7.5.
3. Metal ion influence on enzyme activity: Metal ions such as Ca2+ and Mg2+ significantly enhance enzyme performance, while Mn²+, Fe2+ and Zn2+ inhibit activity. Cu2+ and EDTA exhibit no notable effect on enzymatic activity.
Specifications
Available as a brown liquid at 100000u/mL or as a solid powder at 100000u/g.
Liquid enzyme characteristics include a pH range of 6.0-7.5 at 25°C and a bulk density of ≤1.25g/mL.
Solid enzyme exhibits a fineness where ≥80% passes through a 0.4mm standard sieve.
2. Enzyme activity definition: 1g of solid enzyme powder (or 1mL of liquid enzyme), when hydrolyzing a substrate under specific temperature and pH, produces 1u mol of titratable fatty acids per minute, equivalent to 1 unit of enzyme activity, expressed in u/g (U/mL).
Product complies with standard GB/T23535-2009.
Application method
1. Lipase enhances flour products by repairing the gluten network's weak links, stabilizing dough, boosting air retention, and delivering a white, shiny bread core. Recommended dosage is 0.01-0.05kg/T flour (calculated at 100,000 enzyme units). Combining this enzyme with xylanase, fungal a-amylase, and glucose oxidase optimizes noodle quality.
2. In tanning, lipase targets leather fat, softening raw materials evenly under mild conditions, increasing leather yield, and minimizing skin wrinkles, complementing degreasing and softening processes. Apply 0.02-0.06% enzyme (based on raw material quality, at 100,000 units) and operate at 30-40°C for 30-120 minutes, often paired with alkaline protease for enhanced results.
3. Elevate your feed's potential by incorporating this powerful enzyme, which releases short-chain fats and counteracts acids. This process enhances raw material efficiency and enriches feed flavor. Typically, it requires a dosage of 0.01-0.05%, contingent upon the raw material's quality and an enzyme activity level of 100,000 units.
4. In the realm of paper production, lipase is an invaluable asset for mechanical pulping and waste paper deinking. Its application helps eliminate triglycerides in the pulp, optimizing deinking processes for waste paper. Recommended enzyme preparation is between 0.04-0.10L per ton of pulp, with an activity level of 100,000 units.
Packaging and storage
Liquid enzymes are securely packaged in 25kg plastic drums, while solid variants are contained in 20kg woven bags, ensuring preservation and quality.
This biologically active product requires protection from high temperatures, strong acids, and alkalis to prevent enzyme inactivation. During transit and storage, safeguard liquid enzymes from sunlight, and shield solid enzymes from both sunlight and rain. Maintain a clean, cool, dry environment in storage facilities to ensure optimal preservation.
